I am an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Studies program at the University of Oregon. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment in the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I received my PhD in Sustainable Energy from the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University.
My research employs interdisciplinary approaches that integrate economics and political science to examine energy and climate policy from design through implementation. Specifically, I focus on how energy and climate policies can be leveraged to decarbonize energy systems in equitable and inclusive ways. My current work spans three areas :
- Interest group politics: fossil fuel labor and the energy politics of worker transitions
- Implementation barriers: last-mile implementers of residential decarbonization
- Equitable governance: stakeholder perspectives on the costs and benefits of energy technology lifecycles
